George and Mary kindly invited us to a diner showing of The Man of La Mancha. We gladly accepted. Their home is beautiful and we are always most comfortable there.

It was a good performance well sung.

The theater is in Fresno’s Tower District, across the street from the tragic scene of the Kimber Reynolds homicide. She was shot in the head when two parolees tried to snatch her purse and she held on to it. Her death and her father’s grief worked to galvanize public opinion and created the 3 strikes your out law in California. Pictured above is the restaurant where she enjoyed a dessert with a friend and where she was shot when she left.
