OCTOBER 3, 2013 (Thursday)

Woke up to the most beautiful sight – blue skies. It was lovely. Couldn’t wait to get out into it and soak it up. We also made the mistake of turning on the weather channel and discovered a huge storm going the way we were supposed to head East. We’ve decided to change our drive and go to Butte, Montana then head south through Salt Lake City, Utah to Albuquerque, New Mexico and parts East. Hope we don’t get too much snow. We’re from California and not used to driving in snow.

Fog following the creek, it burned off fast.

We woke up to some very welcome blue sky in Blanchard this morning.

We headed to Stacey’s but took a little side trip to Spirit Lake in the city of Spirit Lake. Cute but much smaller than the other lakes around here. Was glad we got to see it.

There are two parks in Spirit Lake, the big park and the little park. This is the little park. Straightforward people.

Got to Stacey’s. She was washing all the clothes she had given us. She has been so generous and given us winter coats and clothing. Gonna miss her. Lexi has been spending a lot of time with her. I know Lexi is going to miss her. We visited and ate and watched television and slept.

Saying goodbye to Stacey is also saying goodbye to our lost brother, Buddy.

We left around 4:00 PM and drove back to our “home.” Lots of people were out playing miniature golf. Also, lots of people were out playing big person golf. We are now packing and making dinner (chicken, fish, corn, pineapple).
