Blanchard, Idaho to Idaho Falls, Idaho 10/04/2013
OCTOBER 4, 2013 (Friday)
Moving day. We were up and out the door by 9:00 AM. The only thing Stoneridge Resort wanted us to do was empty out the garbage and load the dishwasher, which we did. We are trying to beat the storm that is heading to the Northwest. Michael emailed cousin Tommy and said we weren’t going by Sheridan, Wyoming to see him due to the storm. He wrote back and said he’s stuck somewhere in southern Wyoming due to the storm. He was trying to get back from Las Vegas in time to greet us. Worked out best for everyone as he now doesn’t have to rush anywhere and can just wait out the storm.
We drove and drove and drove. We thought we were going to spend the night in Butte, but because the weather was cooperating with us, we ended up in Idaho Falls at around 6:30 PM. We saw lots and lots of snow, but the weather was beautiful. We’re hopeful we’re far enough South that we won’t get any of the bad stuff.
After driving for over 500 miles, we were tired and stopped at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Idaho Falls and got a room for $89.00. We then walked across the street to Famous Dave’s BBQ and had dinner. We are now all stuffed and ready for sleep. We’re hoping to do 6-8 hours on the road tomorrow.
That was our day. Hope yours was great!
