Blue Green Club, Las Vegas, Nevada

September 23rd to October 1st, 2018

Edie got a great deal on a week at the Blue Green Club. It was a chance to have a visit with Aaron and Arla and our grandpuppies. It worked out in that Edie agreed to stay for 3 weeks in the kids apartment and watch the dogs while they vacation to Costa Rica. So, at the end of the week, Edie stayed in Henderson and I drove home alone. After 3 weeks, I returned, picked up Edie and went on to hang out with Larry and Renee in Green Valley, Arizona for a week. We even got to dip down into Mexico. I digress:

Comfortable living room
Small but efficient kitchen
The beds are very firm, I like that, Edie feels beat up.
Huge double headed shower off the bedroom, two vanities and a standard tub in the area with the toilet
The resort is supposed to be an example of art deco, so all the art and furniture is of that ilk.

To pass the time we went to the Clark County Museum. A local news story informed us of the grand opening of a section dedicated to the mass shooting at the Mandalay Bay.

Most of the displays were memorabilia left behind by the crowds that fled.
Sections devoted to the mining history of Nevada
Several dioramas on the first nations people.
We mistakenly call the people, “Anasazi”. I am told that term is what they asked the Natives had called the ancient ones before themselves. The work translates to “The ones before.” So, not really a name at all.
Got to meet and get my picture taken with Mark Hall Patton, Museum Administrator and sometimes guest star on “Pawn Stars.”

Aaron took us to a remarkable park about 8 blocks from their apartment. Dogs are allowed.

You push a button and water flows up for a few minutes, a self help water park.
Chess or checkers boards, water park, outdoor gymnasium, grassy soccer field and barbecue area.
Great water park area.
Really a beautiful huge green space.
We had a vegan meal at a hot dog joint.
We did a quick trip to the Mandalay Bay to get Edie an M Life Rewards card. Her DD 214 got an automatic level up grade which means free parking at all the MGM properties. I was Army, Edie was Navy.
Our grandpuppy Merlin. He is getting quite old now
Our other grand puppy, Rikku.
I left Edie and drove home. On the way out I bought this for Sebastian. Got home and cleaned it up and set it up in the play room.
The boy loved it
