Minneapolis, MN to Fargo, ND – 5/6/2017

May 6, 2017 (Saturday)

Lots of noise with doors slamming. Not sure if it was because we were so close to the exercise room or not but…I finally had to put my earplugs in. Michael had no problem sleeping at all. Once I did get to sleep, we both slept so well and didn’t even get out of bed until about 10:00 AM. Felt really good to sleep in and not be worried about having to be somewhere. The drive today was to Fargo, ND – about 250 miles. The road was all highway and good. The weather was lovely and warm.

Beautiful blue skies for a start.
There are supposed to be 15,000 lakes up here.
65 mustang.
Possibly, original owner.

We stopped a few miles down the road at a McDonald’s. Before we had breakfast, we went to a RV Trailer Sales place to look at them for fun.

Nice trailers.

We also went by a classic car place along the way.

Quite the classic car dealer.

While Michael went into the McDonald’s, I went back to a Goodwill Store to look around. Enjoyed the few minutes and then went back and had breakfast with Michael. The only other stop we made was at a cute rest stop called “Middle Spunk” to go to the bathroom. It was weird because we’re listening to “The Wright Brothers” on tape and the rest stop had a memorial marker dedicated to Charles Lindbergh.

A nice road rest stop.
So many lakes, still.
Anything with flight, we now think of the Wright Brothers.
Another state line.

We got into Fargo, ND – looks like a nice town with lots and lots of shopping centers. We were both hungry so Michael went online and found a place to eat called HuHot Mongolian Grill. Really good. You make up your own bowl and sauces and the guys BBQ it on the grill and give it back to you. Was really yummy. There used to be a place at the Northridge Mall in Salinas that had the Mongolian BBQ that I loved, but it has closed down. Enjoyed this one very much.

We checked into our room and it’s clean and large. Seems like it will be quiet too (hopefully).

They are really all looking about the same now.

That was our day. Hope yours was great!
