Salt Lake City, Utah – 9/9/2014
SEPTEMBER 9, 2014 (Tuesday)
Well, we had good intentions. We wanted to get up, go into Salt Lake City, get Michael’s medications from WalMart, and then head over to Temple Square to get a free tour. We had called the night before and were told there were several tours we could take, all for free, around Temple Square. Our good intentions went away when we woke up to an awful storm coming our way up the canyon. It was pretty incredible.
Around noon it looked like it was going to clear so we headed out. It’s about a 25 mile drive down into Salt Lake City. We went to WalMart (good old Garmin took us right there) and did a little grocery shopping and got one of Michael’s medications. He had trouble filling the other one and has to go back tomorrow. Bummer.
After WalMart, we headed to Costco. Inside Costco we got me a pair of hiking type shoes because the ones I have don’t grip really well. We also got Michael a vest. Aaron had given me one from Costco a month or so ago and I love it, they’re really soft and warm. I’m hopeful he’ll love his. After buying our stuff, we decided to eat lunch in Costco. Can’t beat the $1.50 hot dog and soda. Michael had his usual turkey provolone sandwich.
After walking out, it was pouring down rain. We decided to just get gas and head on up the canyon to home. The weather couldn’t figure out what to do all evening but it’s supposed to be a lovely day tomorrow.
That was our day. Hope yours was great!
