AUGUST 31, 2013 (Saturday)

The roof is finished. They were supposed to be there four days but they finished in two. Yahoo. They said they found the leak but it wasn’t bad. This new roof should last 45 years so we won’t have to worry about it again in our lifetimes (hopefully).

Finished roof. 45 year warranty. Lets see, I am 64, plus 45, equals, I am out of the roofing business!

Michael and I left and returned the tent to Big 5 here, went to Walmart and got a couple things, and then over to Home Depot. After Home Depot, we went to the dump to get a gas can that Michael had left on a run to the dump yesterday. After leaving the dump, we saw and heard a lovely mariachi band playing for a wedding at a local church. Fun. On our way home we stopped at a little Mexican Restaurant and each got a burrito.

On a run through Salinas, a not unusual site, they sounded good. Mariachi bands play at many gatherings.

When we got back to the studio, we did some cleaning, more packing, resting, and then we visited with our renter up the hill. Was nice. While we were visiting Michael made pasta for dinner. Was good.
